Description: Rolex Datejust 1601
Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 1601 (1969) is a coveted 4-digit model with immense history and character. As a product of the late 1960s, this pre-owned Rolex features an older-style acrylic crystal, a handsome Pie Pan dial, and Tritrium in a warm patina. At the same time, it's instantly recognizable as a famous Rolex dress watch because it also sports a 36mm waterproof Oyster case, a self-winding mechanical movement, and the staple jump date mechanism at 3 o'clock. It also features a stainless steel case and bracelet and a luxurious 18k white gold fluted bezel. The time is displayed on what is referred to as a "Sigma" dial via 18k white gold indices.

Stunning good looks. The slate dial is a bit more understated than the silver, gold, or black datejust dials, which I feel is important. The dial color pairs well with the bracelet or any brown or black leather straps.
Serial Number 2801936 is the one that I own. It is a complete set with box and papers. Unlike the version, shown in the photo, I have no luminescent hands. Great timepiece and has increased in value from the $255 Price Tag from June 28,1972. P.S. Not For Sale.
