Description: Rolex Explorer 214270
Pre-owned Rolex Explorer ref 214270 (2010) introduced the mountaineer's watch to the then-new caliber 3132 self-winding mechanical movement and a slightly larger 39mm case, up from the long-standing 36mm Explorer case. During its production run, Rolex would produce this watch with two different dials, one with silvered 3/6/9 Arabic indices and one with all-luminescent hour markers. The dials have been distinguished as Mark I and Mark II, respectively. The authentic Rolex 214270 for sale here is a Mark I model. It has a lot of potential as a valuable collector's item as the first iteration of the first 39mm Explorer. It's also worth noting that this size was recently discontinued in favor of the 40mm Explorer, adding even further to its collectability.
