• Waterproof Case - Ref 1665 features a 39 mm polished and satined three-part water proof Oyster case with screw down back and crown. The case is made of stainless steel and is topped with a plastic dome crystal and rotatable bezel.
• Gas Escape Valve - Rolex added a helium gas escape valve in the band of Ref 1665 to allow the watch to remain resistant to water and pressure at an even greater depth.
• Movement - This timepiece utilizes the calibre 1570 26 jewels movement.
• Dial - Ref 1665 features a matte black dial with tritium and dot hour markers. The dial also features luminous hour and minute hands and a luminous "lollipop" sweep centre seconds hand. The case, dial, and movement are signed.
• Date Feature - This particular watch has an aperture for the date in place of the 3 o'clock mark.
• Bracelet - The timepiece is finished with a matching stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet.
• "Double Red" Sea Dweller - The first ever Sea Dweller able to reach a depth of 610 meters (2000 feet) and remain water resistant. The name "Double Red" comes from the signature "Sea-Dweller Submariner 2000" on the dial, which offers two distinct lines of red text.
