This Rolex watch is in great, honest vintage condition. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The red-back bezel insert is in great condition and has developed a beautiful fade throughout. The blue is an attractive aqua color and the red is leaning towards a pink hue. The dial is in great condition with some light patina. The lume has aged to an attractive pale yellow and some plots show signs of wear; this can be hard to notice. The hands have developed patina and the lume in the hands have been color corrected/ relumed to match the lume on the dial; it is close, but a bit whiter. The jubilee bracelet is in good condition with some wear and some stretch between the links which is not uncommon for this style bracelet.
The GMT Master is Rolex’s signature pilot’s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It’s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it’s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1978 example is in overall nice, honest vintage condition. This watch has what collectors refer to as a Mark 5 dial and the defining characteristic of this is the tall coronet and the placement of the "M" in "Master" over the "C" in chronometer, it divides the C and M. From the nicely aged bezel to the lovely lume color especially paired on the jubille bracelet - this watch has a great vintage look and feel!

Well represented watch in excellent condition. Super fast shipping. My second purchase from Bobs but not my last. Their watches seem to be in better condition than many of the others I’ve seen online.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.
Quick e-mail responses, systematic
I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
